●Abstract Submission Guidelines

• ​Abstract Submission

1. The Oral / Poster presentation may be reassigned by the Organizing Committee.

2. Early bird rate of registration is provided to those whose abstracts are accepted.

3. Abstract must be submitted and presented in English only.

4. All the abstracts will be included in the program book. In addition, to publish conference proceedings, participants whose abstracts are accepted as poster presentation shall submit the PDF file of their poster, and participants whose abstracts are accepted as oral presentation shall submit their full paper. You can indicate if you would like to have the proceedings during the conference.

• Abstract Format

1. Single-space throughout. Do not justify text (use ragged right).

2. Aim for a length of 300 words (title, author(s), Institution(s) are not Included). A one-page abstract (A4-size) only.

3. Never use “will be discussed” or “will be presented.” An abstract is a summary of results or the talk itself, not a promise. Abstracts not conforming to this are unacceptable.

4. Use the last comma in a series, e.g. apples, oranges, and pears.

5. Follow the style below for author names and footnotes for multiple authors; an asterisk beside a name indicates the speaker when there is more than one author.

• Confirmation Letter of Abstract Submission

1. A Confirmation Letter of Abstract Submission will be automatically sent to the presenting author via e-mail once the submission is completed successfully.

2. If a Confirmation Letter is not received after submitting the abstract, it is advised to log in the WOC 2020 Online Registration System to check if the abstract is submitted successfully.

• Abstract Revision
  For any corrections in a submitted abstract, the presenting author can log in the Online Submission System again and proceed accordingly. Abstract revision is available until abstract submission deadline of Aug. 31, 2019.

• Notification of Acceptance
  The Organizing Committee will notify the presenting author of acceptance/rejection via email from Sep. 30, 2019 onwards.

• Registration

1. Registration is mandatory for presenters.

2. Submitting an abstract doesn’t register you to WOC 2020. A presenting author must register and complete the payment before Oct. 15, 2019 (with the fee of early bird registration), or the accepted abstract will not be arranged in the Conference Program and will be excluded from the proceedings.

3. Other authors of the accepted abstract, who would like to participate in the Conference, must register and complete the payment before the day of the Conference.

• Others

        Main Author and Co-authors

​

        Please put the correct full name and affiliation of the main author. If there are

        co-authors of the paper, please do the same as well. Conference Committee

        will put that information in the Final Program.
 

        Email Contact

​

        The Conference Committee will send the confirmation letter and notification

        letter to the presenting author’s email address. Please provide the correct

        contact information and always use the same email address.
